Glasgow was once again a happy hunting ground as Tom walked away from the World Championships with a 200m Freestyle Bronze medal, two PBs and two British Records.
In a very strong 200m Freestyle field swimming against competitors five years his senior, 16yr old Tom held his own capturing a Bronze for Team GB and a British record of 1:58:42 a time that would itself broken the world record 12 months previous.
In testament to the hard work Tom has put into training in the last 12 months Tom took on the World’s best in his second event the 200m IM.
Third choice GB swimmer before the game, Tom broke the British record twice at the championships, narrowly missing out on a second bronze.
All in all great experience and another step closer on the road to Rio 2016.
